Office Solutions IT is proud to be a certified carbon-neutral organisation!
This monumental milestone marks another notch in our mission to build a more sustainable future for us and our clients. This certification was awarded by Climate Active, a partnership between the Australian Government and Australian business to encourage voluntary action in reducing carbon emission that negatively impacts our environment.
To make this possible, we have implemented sustainable practices to measure our carbon footprint and neutralise it by investing in renewable energy projects, such as switching to energy-efficient equipment, minimising paper usage, and encouraging hybrid work to reduce commuting emissions. As a result of these efforts, we have successfully reduced our carbon emissions by 75% over the last few months alone.
What does it mean to be carbon neutral?
Adopting a carbon-neutral approach takes us one step closer to sustainability. With this, we are reducing our impact on climate change and actively creating a more sustainable future for our community.
“As they say, actions are stronger than words. I know that we are a great company but with recognitions such as these, we can let the rest of the world know and prove that we are. I want us to be responsible corporate citizens, and this is just the start of things to come."
Igor Pavic, Director
As one of the first MSPs in Perth to be carbon neutral, we're setting the stone, not just for us but for our clients and employees as well on the importance of minimising our environmental impact and resource consumption.
How we’re making an impact on the environment
This effort of measuring our carbon emissions and implementing strategies to reduce them allowed us to achieve a net-zero carbon footprint – decreasing our carbon dioxide emissions, which are a prime contributor to global warming.
“We are strong believers that there is more to business than making money. It's about having a positive impact in your community, and I think becoming carbon neutral is a natural expression of that belief.”
James Sutton, Managing Director
In Office Solutions IT, we want to show that even IT companies – one of the greatest contributors to carbon emissions worldwide – can make a huge difference and take the necessary steps towards protecting our beautiful planet.
What does being carbon neutral mean for our clients
Being carbon neutral sends a powerful message to our clients and other businesses that prioritising sustainability while still delivering quality services and products to the market is possible. The fact that technology solutions can now be environmentally responsible is groundbreaking and will surely inspire other companies in the industry to follow suit.
“In the scheme of things, it is small, but if our actions can influence some changes within our team, clients, and industry, we get the snowball effect."
Igor Pavic, Director
Supporting certified carbon-neutral organisations means supporting their efforts to create a more sustainable planet for future generations. It shows that you understand the importance of reducing your carbon footprint while also encouraging others to do the same.
