How does it work?

Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) is a newish solution that uses the Internet as the transmission medium for telephone calls. It is an increasingly popular alternative to the traditional  PSTN/ISDN networks. A simple example of VOiP is Skype.  We can provide solutions for both PSTN and  VoIP.

VoIP solutions are proving to be far more cost effective than traditional systems. Usually, they are able to integrate with computer applications such as the address book in Outlook.

For distributed offices they can also offer the benefit of having multiple offices on the same phone system, with internal transfer of calls.

Two alternatives are on-Premise VoIP and Hosted VoIP. We can create these using products supplied by Mitel, Cisco, Auvaya, Polycom and Amcom.

These new phone systems support features like call transfers, voicemail, music on hold, reception module, boardroom conferencing, fax to email, call forwarding and so on.
