Executive Summary

Cubic Interiors switched to OSIT’s Managed Services and saved $15,000 a month on IT costs.

Cubic Interiors is a subcontracting business in Perth that needed to improve their IT systems and managed support to enhance efficiency and IT costs.

So they partnered with Office Solutions IT to design and implement a managed IT service solution that would upgrade their infrastructure, enhance speed and security, and improve collaboration—all while optimising their monthly costs without sacrificing features.

The Challenges

Outgrown IT systems and high IT costs

With an IT system that they’ve outgrown and is costing them too much to maintain, Cubic Interiors aimed to implement long-term solutions for their technical issues, establish a more secure IT environment, and improve their return on technology investments.

With Cubic’s trust in our expertise and recommendations, our team was able to design an IT overhaul project with managed support to refresh their hardware with minimal impact on operations.

The Solution

Migrate to OSIT’s Managed Service with a full IT refresh.

Following a comprehensive evaluation from an OSIT Virtual CIO, Cubic Interiors received a customised managed IT service plan that included cloud migration, hardware refresh, network and cyber security enhancements, and ongoing support from their dedicated OSIT team.

The plan also featured strategies to optimise their monthly costs, such as upgrading servers, replacing hardware, migrating to a more secure (and cost-effective) data solution, and enhancing various aspects of their IT systems. To further strengthen their infrastructure and meet the compliance requirements in the defence sector, Cubic also commissioned OSIT to deliver two new physical servers designed to future-proof their operations.

The Results

Improved system performance, productivity soars, and reduced IT spend.

Cubic Interior’s migration to the new OSIT system was smoother than expected. The transition involved zero downtime over the weekend, which allowed for business operations to resume as usual by Monday.

After the switch, Cubic Interiors benefited from significantly improved server and network speeds. Their cybersecurity and system reliability also saw enhancements from top to bottom. Their teams across all four office locations—Perth, Sydney, Joondalup, and Geraldton—now enjoy a more streamlined workflow, which created noticeable improvements in productivity and collaboration.

Due to the system optimisation led by one of our Virtual CIOs, Cubic Interiors achieved a 50% reduction in IT spending and eased their monthly costs from $30,000 to $15,000.

Moving forward, Cubic Interiors will continue to receive regular support, updates, and health checks from their OSIT support team to maintain efficiency and keep them on the path to IT success.
